High Harm Perpetrator work
We work closely with RESPECT, SafeLives, Social Finance and Croydon Local Authority to deliver the DRIVE project in Croydon.
The Drive Project was initially piloted in Essex, South Wales and West Sussex, and highlighted in the government’s VAWG strategy for its innovative approach to working with perpetrators. We were the first site to be up and running as part of the new wave of Drive Projects, with West Midlands, West Mercia and a new site in South Wales following.
We have provided 5 skilled case managers to work individually with high-risk perpetrators, challenging them to change their behaviour, while always holding them to account. We are working closely alongside the Croydon IDVSA’s providing support to the victims, and the local borough police providing a diversion tactic.
DRIVE in Croydon is currently being funded by the Mayors Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) and the Police Transformation Fund.
