PRiA: Promoting Respect in Action is a single 3.5 hour online group session, designed to support those who have either shown inappropriate sexual behaviours, or have not demonstrated appropriate action when witnessing this in others.

The course is an early intervention and preventative course, designed to work with low-level inappropriate behaviours and improve understanding. It aims to raise awareness of inappropriate sexual behaviours and the impact on victims, support participants in understanding the roles we play in being a bystander versus an upstander, and increase personal accountability. PRiA is a psycho-educational session, used to support reflective practice. It will support participants in understanding the effects of inappropriate sexual behaviour on workplace culture.

PRiA is delivered using a ‘classroom style’ approach – we encourage participation and questions throughout. The session covers:

  • Workplace culture
  • Professionalism
  • Awareness raising
  • Empathy
  • Policing principles and how our behaviour can align with these principles
  • Attitudes
  • Responsibilities.
